Klishi Beef Tomato Stew with Basmaty Rice

Klishi Beef Tomato Stew with Basmaty Rice

1 pound (450g) beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
1-2 Tbsp of Klishi Red Meat Spice blend
4 large tomatoes, diced
1 teaspoon Himalayan salt (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup Basmati rice
Water for cooking rice

For the Klishi Beef Tomato Stew:

  1. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until simmering.
  2. Add diced tomatoes to the pot, stirring until they are well incorporated with the olive oil.
  3. Sprinkle Himalayan salt and Klishi spice blend into the mixture, adjusting to your taste preferences.
  4. Introduce the beef into the seasoned mixture, allowing it to simmer and soak up the flavors for a rich and savory stew.
  5. Cover the pot with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for about 30-40 minutes, ensuring the beef becomes tender and the flavors meld together.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. For a thicker consistency, simmer uncovered for additional time.

For the Basmati Rice:

  1. Rinse Basmati rice under cold water until it runs clear, removing excess starch.
  2. In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. Add the rinsed Basmati rice to the boiling water. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing the rice to become tender and absorb the water.
  4. Fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains, ensuring a light and fluffy texture.

Serve the flavorful Klishi Beef Tomato Stew over a bed of the perfectly cooked Basmati rice. For an extra touch, garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro. Indulge in the delightful combination of textures and flavors in this hearty meal!
